Convenient? Only 24 minutes by shuttle plane from downtown Seattle, or a pleasant one-hour car/ferry ride from the mainland.

Yes, we are isolated from crime, traffic, stress and the turmoil of life in the cities. But, we can be in the "big city" to conduct our business or head out for other parts of the country in minutes.

We are fortunate to have superlative air service from Seattle to all the islands of the group. Flights leave regularly from the town's airport for their quick and scenic 24 minute run to and from Seattle. There they land at downtown, Boeing Field with quick shuttle service to Seattle Tacoma International Airport. In addition, the San Juans enjoy all day float plane service from Lake Union in downtown Seattle to all the islands.

Also, a short drive from Seattle to Anacortes,  (90 minutes) can connect you with the ten minute shuttle flight to the islands. Then of course, there are the peaceful, and oh, so, scenic rides on Washington State Ferries that serve the islands throughout the day. San Juan Island is just an hour from Anacortes on these large, safe, comfortable, car hauling, ships!

Amazing but true! Even with that blessed buffer of the sea, separating the islands from the realities of growth, you're not inconvenienced to any substantial degree.
